(Crítica del “New York Times” tras los tres conciertos interpretados en el Beacon Theatre de NY)
The Cure finalizó sus conciertos “Reflections“, donde el grupo de Robert Smith ha interpretado de forma magistral sus tres primeros álbumes (Three Imaginary Boys, Seventeen Seconds y Faith), con seis espectaculares conciertos en las ciudades estadounidenses de Los Angeles y Nueva York.
Varias han sido las sorpresas que los de Crawley se reservaban para el público norteamericano respecto a los shows interpretados anteriormente en la Casa de la Ópera de Sidney y en el Royal Albert Hall Londinense.
Durante las tres noches consecutivas en el Pantages Theatre de Los Angeles, los fans de The Cure pudieron disfrutar, además de los tres míticos primeros álbumes del grupo y los “bises” seleccionados de la primera época del grupo, de alguna sorpresa como la versión de la canción “splintered in her head” interpretada con la letra de “the empty world“.

Pero las sorpresas más importantes estaban por llegar con motivo de los tres conciertos finales interpretados en el Beacon Theatre de Nueva York donde el grupo británico puso el broche de oro a estos increibles “Reflections” shows. Unos conciertos donde The Cure quiso interpretar de forma progresiva cada noche canciones míticas como “In Between Days“, “The Caterpillar” y “Close to Me“.

Desde hispaCure os recordamos, sobre todo a todos aquellos fans que no habeis podido disfrutar de estos míticos conciertos de The Cure, que durante el primer trimestre de 2012 el grupo de Robert Smith tiene previsto editar en Formato DVD y Bluray el “Reflections” show que el grupo interpretó en la Casa de la Ópera de Sidney, posiblemente el recinto con mejor acústica a nivel internacional. Un lanzamiento que, junto a Trilogy, registrará para siempre varios de los mejores álbumes de la historia de The Cure y, por extensión, varios de los trabajos que más han influído en la historia de la música contemporánea.
